What We Do Not Take On

We work on residential garage doors - springs, openers, tracks, cables, rollers, and panels. That's it. We don't do commercial overhead dock doors, custom wood carriage doors that need on-site fabrication, or gate and fence work. We also don't frame new construction; if a builder needs a rough opening squared and a header set, that's a carpenter's job, not ours.

Most of the houses across our nine service areas went up between 1988 and 2006, so the torsion hardware, extension springs, and opener mounts we see day to day are what builders were putting in during that stretch. If your house is older than that range and still has its original door, some hardware on it can be special order, and we'll tell you upfront if a part means a wait instead of a same-visit fix.

We also won't sell you a new door when a spring, a cable, or a bent roller is the actual problem. If replacement really is the better call - say the panels are rusted through or the track is bent past straightening - we'll say so, but we're not going to push it as a default.

Where We Travel

Our shop is at 221 N Kansas St, downtown. From there, Fort Bliss is about 3 miles out, Normandy Park sits roughly 4 miles SSE, and Upper Mesa Hills and Thunderbird are both around 5 miles to the west. Central El Paso, Golden Hill, West Central El Paso, Northwest El Paso, and El Paso High are all in the 6-mile ring around the shop.

Farther out, we cover Sunland Park North (7 mi WSW), East El Paso and Vista Del Sol West (8 mi SE), Mission Valley (8 mi SSE), Vista Hills Park (9 mi SE), Canutillo (11 mi), Valley Creek North (11 mi W), Westway and Vinton (12 mi), Anthony (14 mi), Homestead Meadows North (15 mi), Sparks (16 mi), and Socorro and Horizon City (18 mi).

Across that footprint there are roughly 28,269 households, with about 16,176 of them owner-occupied houses - the kind with an attached garage and a door that's ours to work on. If your address falls somewhere in that stretch, call ahead and we'll tell you straight whether it's a same-day run or a next-day one, since distance and drive time both factor into when we can get there.

Plain Answers

Call (915) 347-9521 first. Tell us what the door is doing - won't open, opens crooked, makes a bang and stops, opener runs but the door doesn't move - and we'll walk you through whether it's safe to leave shut until we arrive or whether it needs a same-day look.

On pricing, the median household income across our service area sits around $52,100, and that's part of why we don't quote a flat number over the phone for anything beyond the simplest jobs - a broken spring costs different money than a bent track, and we'd rather see it than guess. What we can say plainly is that a torsion spring failure is common and rarely means the door itself is bad.

Heat matters here more than most places realize. The climate band we sit in runs severe on the heat side, and that heat is what dries out lubricant on rollers and hinges faster than it would somewhere milder, and it's also what makes nylon rollers go brittle and crack years before a metal roller would fail. If your door has started grinding or slamming down instead of lowering smooth, that's often the first sign, and it's worth a call before a cable goes with it.

Frequently asked questions

Do you come out the same day?

It depends on where you are and what's wrong. Addresses closer to downtown, inside the 6-to-8-mile ring, are usually easier to fit same day. Farther stops like Socorro or Horizon City at 18 miles may land next day. Call (915) 347-9521 and we'll tell you straight when we can get there.

Do you install new construction garage doors?

No. We handle repair and replacement on doors already in place - springs, openers, tracks, panels. Framing a rough opening or setting a header for a new build isn't work we take on.

Why does my roller keep cracking?

Our summers run into severe heat, and that heat dries out lubricant and makes nylon rollers go brittle faster than in a milder climate. If yours is grinding or slamming instead of lowering smooth, that's usually the first sign before a cable follows.

Can you tell me a price over the phone?

For a broken spring or a bent track, no - those vary too much to quote blind. We'd rather look at it in person than guess and be wrong. Simple jobs we can sometimes ballpark on the call.
